Mynydd-Yn-Bwlch Station
Mynydd-yn-Bwlch stands on the site of a set of storage sidings, the whole area hewn from the mountain during early quarrying days. Here the slate trains part company with the other trains and it can be a very busy station. Trains arrive from Llanmynach and Tawel-llety and will terminate as well as cross here; an unusual movement on the L&TR is the propelling of trains to enable through trains between Llanmynach and Tawel-llety to enter the station. Goods trains can be found shunting and preparing for departure and of course, there are the ubiquitous slate trains running through on their way to and from the mines and quarries. The station has a small building, similar to that at Rhyffedd Coed and its layout consists, once again, of a passing loop and a siding. Before the station is reached, the line to Tawel-llety diverges to the left and dives into the tunnel on its way to Tawel-llety.
